IMPORTANT REMINDERS

We expect players to show up for their predetermined time and the coaches appropriate for their age may only be available at those times to observe the players. Therefore the league greatly appreciates everyone’s support in attempting to stick to the schedule. If your player does not show up for his/her scheduled time, their potential coach may not be available to evaluate them.

Helpful tips and reminders:

Players will be evaluated on their ability to hit, run, catch, field grounders, and throw for purposes of the draft.

All players must bring a baseball glove and helmet. Bats are highly recommended but if you don’t have one, you may be able to borrow one.

If a child is injured, he/she should attend skills check to meet the prospective managers.

VERY IMPORTANT: IF YOUR CHILD MISSES SKILLS CHECK THEY WILL NOT BE DRAFTED ONTO A TEAM. Skills check is mandatory for all AA, AAA, Majors and Intermediate players, no exceptions. Per Little League National Rules, if a player does not attend skills check they cannot be placed on a team.

FAQS

Does my child need to attend skills check?  If your child is league age 8 or older as of 8/31/2024, they need to attend skills check. If your child is age 7 as of 8/31/2024, their attendance is optional but note that attending skills check does not guarantee being drafted to Double A (kid pitch)

Why is skills check needed? Per Little League International, our league is required to hold tryouts to evaluate all players for placement in our kid-pitched divisions (Intermediate, Majors, Triple A and Double A).  The skills check also helps the league and its managers in forming fair and balanced teams at each division
